Spring is knocking at the door
In the form of birds waking me up through my open window
In the form of children darting through traffic on their bikes
In the form of new love springing from everywhere
In the form of driving with windows down and music blasting
We've been waiting all year for this glorious end to the misery of winter
Now that it's here we see why we endure the wait
Because grass is supposed to be green
Because skies are supposed to be blue
Because spring has let herself in
